Hydrogen sulfide

Hydrogen sulfide

Hydrogen sulfide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H₂S. At room temperature, it is a colorless, flammable, and highly toxic acidic gas. It is easily identified by its strong rotten-egg odor at low concentrations, but at high concentrations it rapidly paralyzes the olfactory nerve, causing a loss of smell that can be fatal.
