What is a Venturi Injector Used for?

Venturi injector is mainly used to mix and transfer one fluid into another by creating vacuum with a high-speed jet—especially for aeration and oxygenation.

Primary Uses

Water and Wastewater Treatment

Aeration / oxygen transfer (air, blower-assisted, and pure oxygen), including aerobic biodegradation oxygen transfer.

Advanced oxidation and disinfection with ozone (ozone dosing; ozone off-gas recycle to aeration ponds).

Gas–liquid two-phase mass transfer and mixing (and related liquid–liquid mixing).

Agricultural irrigation fertigation; iron/manganese removal oxygenation; flotation gas injection; river/lake/pond reoxygenation and aquaculture oxygenation.

Pumping and Vacuum Technology

Liquid-jet / steam-jet vacuum, hydraulic vacuum (e.g. siphon pipelines), eductors for pumping and conveying (sludge, sand, powder).

Waste Gas Treatment and Process Technology

Venturi scrubbers for flue-gas cleaning.

How It Works

Pressurized motive water jets through a nozzle, creating vacuum that draws in air/oxygen (or another fluid).

The two streams mix instantly as fine bubbles/droplets for efficient mass transfer, then discharge for aeration, agitation, or further mixing.

Industry Applications

Venturi injector also used in coking, landfill leachate, chemical, dyeing, food, pharma, leather, desulfurization slurry oxidation, flue-gas treatment, and similar processes.
