Application of jet aerator in sewage treatment
Application of jet aerator in sewage treatment
The activated sludge process is a long-term sewage treatment technology. At present, the most commonly used air aeration method is the blower system. However, after a long period of operation, due to the aging, cracking, and clogging of the aeration head, and the wear and tear of the blower, the blower capacity is usually selected during the design process. At the same time, traditional aeration equipment requires maintenance almost every year, and maintenance requires stopping and draining water for maintenance, which is complex and costly. Moreover, as the amount of treated water increases, load fluctuations often lead to problems such as insufficient oxygen supply.
Based on these problems, our company has developed an efficient combined design of Venturi jets and synergistic nozzles, which can use or not use the jet aeration system of the existing aeration system. It can be used for three types of equipment: blast pressurized jet aerator, self-priming jet aerator and pure oxygen jet aerator to solve the above problems.
Jet aerator project diagram:
Pure oxygen jet aerator:
The pure oxygen jet aerator is composed of a power water pump, an ejector, a secondary jet amplification device and a pipeline, and a switching valve: the power circulating water pump provides the necessary energy for the ejector to inhale oxygen/air, transport water-gas mixture, and the secondary jet agitation device for secondary jet mixing and mass transfer; the ejector is the core component of the entire aeration system, and the oxygen mass transfer and aeration process starts here.
Oxygen/air is inhaled by the high-speed water flow in the throat, forming a water-gas mixture with uniform micro-bubbles in the ejector, and the mass transfer process begins. The water-gas mixture is transported to the secondary jet synergist device in the pressure pipe, and oxygen continues to transfer mass in the pipeline; the secondary jet synergist device is also a key component of the aeration system. Its function is to allow the water-gas mixture with supersaturated oxygen to complete a secondary injection at the bottom of the pool, fully stir and mix with the sewage containing relatively low oxygen in the pool, and perform mass transfer again to improve oxygen transfer efficiency and aeration uniformity.
The action of the switching valve allows the aeration process to be converted from pure oxygen aeration mode to air aeration mode. If the oxygen source gas volume is reduced or stopped, the jet aerator can be switched to air aeration mode to ensure the safety of system operation and cost economy. The ejector and secondary jet efficiency enhancement device are made of SUS304 stainless steel, and their performance will not decrease after long-term use, and they are maintenance-free without replacement.
Advantages of pure oxygen jet aerator:
1. Unique fluid dynamics design, a single set of GW ejector has a large service area;
2. Using unique patented technology, it has high oxygen utilization rate (up to more than 90%) and high power efficiency (depending on the water depth);
3. The oxygen utilization efficiency is stable and does not decay with the length of operation;
4. With continuous water discharge and maintenance, only the water pump equipment needs to be maintained, which greatly reduces the cost;
5. Low noise, completely silent for Q-type installation method;
6. Reduce the volume of the aeration tank/the area occupied by the sewage plant, enhance the ability to withstand load impacts, and improve the processing capacity of the existing sewage treatment plant;
7. Less foam and less odor;
8. The sludge settles well, reducing the sludge treatment volume and making it less likely to cause sludge expansion;
9. Open system, high security, low infrastructure investment;
10. Able to timely control the oxygen supply.
Self-priming jet aerator:
After a long period of operation of the currently commonly used blowing system, due to the aging, cracking, and clogging of the aeration head, and the wear and tear of the blower, the blower capacity is usually enlarged during the design process. At the same time, traditional aeration equipment requires maintenance almost every year, and maintenance requires draining water for maintenance, which is complex and costly. The self-priming jet aeration equipment developed by our company can solve this problem.
Advantages of self-priming jet aerator:
1. A single set of ejector has a large gas flow rate and a large service area;
2. Using unique patented technology, it has high oxygen utilization rate (30-45%) and high power efficiency;
3. The oxygen utilization rate is stable and does not decay with the length of operation;
4. Continuously drain the water for maintenance, which is convenient and low-cost;
5. Low noise, completely silent for Q-type installation method;
6. Save investment and low operating costs.
Air blast pressurized jet aerator:
With the increase in treated water volume, load fluctuations, aging and blockage of traditional aeration equipment, aeration capacity decreases, resulting in problems such as insufficient oxygen supply, existing aeration equipment needs to be regularly shut down and drained for maintenance. Based on this problem, Chengdu Green Water Technology Co., Ltd. has studied a blower and pressurization system that utilizes the existing aeration system, using a blower and pressurized jet aerator to aerate and oxygenate sewage treatment.
Advantages of blast pressurized jet aerator:
1. Using the existing blower/compressor system to blow pressurized jets, the oxygen utilization rate can be greatly improved (30-45%);
2. The combined application of blowing system and jet aeration saves investment and low energy consumption;
3. It has strong resistance to impact loads. According to changes in sewage treatment load, the air volume is adjusted through frequency conversion speed regulation of the fan to reduce installed power and save operating costs;
4. The complex pipelines of the traditional blast system are eliminated, and there is no need to stop and drain water for maintenance, making maintenance easy and low cost.
The jet aerator is suitable for pure oxygen jet aeration, self-priming jet aeration and blast pressurized jet aeration in sewage treatment. It can effectively solve the problems of the traditional blast aeration system due to the aging of the aeration head, blockage, insufficient oxygen supply, complex maintenance and high operating energy consumption. It has the advantages of high oxygen utilization, high power efficiency, stable operation, no need to stop and drain water for maintenance, low maintenance cost, low noise, and strong impact load resistance. It is an efficient aeration solution to improve the aeration efficiency of sewage treatment and reduce operating costs.
FAQ:
The origin of activated sludge process
In 1912, the British Clark and Cage discovered that long-term aeration of wastewater would produce sludge and significantly improve the water quality. Later, Arden and Lackett conducted further research and found that because the experimental container was not washed clean, the residue left on the bottle wall actually improved the treatment effect. They discovered active microbial colloids and named them activated sludge.
Pure oxygen aeration activated sludge process:
The pure oxygen aeration activated sludge process is a recently developed high-tech technology. It uses high-concentration dissolved oxygen generated by an oxygen generator to replace air to improve the efficiency and stability of sewage treatment.
