Aeration Cost Control in Wastewater Treatment and Jet Aerators

Aeration Cost Control in Wastewater Treatment and Jet Aerators

An integrated operating solution for air, oxygen-enriched and pure-oxygen aeration

In today’s wastewater treatment field, aerobic biochemical treatment is the most widely used process.

The main operating cost in an aerobic biochemical process is aeration. Controlling aeration cost and reducing the unit aeration cost of wastewater treatment are the key to lowering the overall cost of aerobic biochemical treatment.

The jet aerator developed by Chengdu GreenWater Technology Co., Ltd. is mainly used for biological aeration in municipal domestic sewage and industrial wastewater treatment.

The aeration system consists of an air or oxygen source, an air-supply control unit, a motive-water pump, a jet ejector and an efficiency-enhancing nozzle.

The aeration system uses the air-supply control unit to select the gas source and regulate airflow according to the water-treatment load. This gives the system three functions: pure-oxygen aeration, oxygen-enriched aeration and air aeration. Under normal flow conditions, air can be used as the aeration source. When the load fluctuates significantly or the treatment capacity must be increased substantially, oxygen-enriched or pure-oxygen aeration can be used. Without any reconstruction or expansion, the system can increase wastewater treatment capacity and reduce the unit cost of wastewater treatment.

When users adopt this aeration system, they only need to operate it in air aeration, oxygen-enriched aeration or pure-oxygen aeration mode according to the increase in wastewater treatment demand. There is no need for additional reconstruction or expansion investment when the treatment load increases, and no additional investment or manpower is required for operation.

The system can control unit wastewater treatment cost and help achieve energy-saving and emission-reduction goals. It offers significant social, ecological and economic benefits, with broad market prospects after wider application.
