Working principle
Particle removal in Venturi scrubbers (high-energy Venturi scrubbers) is mainly based on the principle of inertial impaction. Other impact mechanisms such as interception and Brownian diffusion also exist, but their effects are minimal compared with inertial impact.

The basic structure of a Venturi scrubber
Venturi scrubber (high-energy Venturi scrubber) consists of two parts: Venturi and liquid-gas separator.
Entrance section
A liquid distributor is arranged to guide the flue gas to accelerate and evenly spray the cleaning liquid.
Adjustable throat
Venturi's narrowest flow channel. The particle capture effect depends on the relative velocity of the throat gas and water droplets and the water-vapor ratio. It is equipped with an automatic adjustment device for throat diameter to ensure dust removal effect within the full flow range.
Exit section
The gas flow rate decreases rapidly, and dust-containing droplets separate from the gas. Usually made of stainless steel, it is suitable for high temperature corrosive flue gas.
Liquid gas separator:
Completely separate dust-containing droplets from the gas phase to obtain purified flue gas. Made of fiberglass or stainless steel. There is an expansion joint between the Venturi outlet and the separator inlet to absorb the vibration and deformation of the piping system.
