Ozone disinfection

Ozone disinfection in water treatment refers to adding ozone (O₃) into the water body, using its strong oxidizing properties to kill bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms in the water, oxidatively decompose organic matter, and remove color, smell and odor. The treated water must be digested to convert residual ozone into harmless oxygen before it can be used or discharged.
