Ozone dosing case

Hebei Shijiazhuang Qiaodong Sewage Treatment Plant

Project Overview

The 600,000 tons of daily municipal sewage (industrial wastewater + domestic sewage) from the Qiaodong Sewage Treatment Plant in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province is decolorized by adding ozone due to the high color of the discharged water. This project was designed by the North China Municipal Design Institute, and was general contracted by Hebei Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., and subcontracted by Tianjin Northern Wanfeng Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. for ozone dosing equipment. Our company provided ejector and ozone jet dosing solutions to Tianjin Northern Wanfeng Environmental Protection Co., Ltd.

Ozone dosing and ejector design parameters

The size of the ozone dosing tank in this project is 45 m × 40 m × 9.5 m (water depth 8.5 m). The chromaticity before adding ozone is 60, and it is required that the chromaticity drops below 15 after adding ozone. The ozone dosage is 30 mg/L, pure oxygen is used to produce ozone, and the total gas dosage is 4800 Nm³/h.

The design gas-liquid ratio of this project is 40%, the designed power water volume is 12000 m³/h, the ejector model is GW3600 (the inlet and outlet diameters are both DN300, the suction diameter is DN150), the number of ejector is 24, the power water volume of a single set of ejector is 500 m³/h, and the water pump lift is 12 m.

Construction and operation status

The project started construction in October 2012 and started operation at the end of May 2013. According to the original text, all injectors work normally and achieve the designed dosing effect. Below are pictures of the project site.
