Installation Guidelines for Jet Ejectors

1. The jet ejector must be installed horizontally or vertically upward. If vertical downward installation is required, the outlet pressure should be at least 0.35-0.7 kg/cm².
2. If the outlet of the jet ejector discharges directly to the atmosphere, connect a pipe with a diameter of not less than DN300 to the outlet to optimize the ejector's air suction capacity.
3. The nominal diameter of the flow valve and piping connected to the jet ejector must not be smaller than the nominal diameter of the jet ejector.
4. A certain pressure differential between the inlet and outlet is required for normal operation. The pressure differential is usually not less than 25-30%. If it is insufficient, increase the inlet pressure or reduce the outlet pressure. Pressure gauges are recommended at the inlet and outlet to measure the differential pressure.
5. When connecting the ejector flanges, ensure a stress-free connection. The inlet, outlet, and air suction inlet must be fixed so that the suction throat is not subjected to excessive stress, ensuring normal operation.
6. When the ejector is installed underwater in a tank, any connected carbon-steel piping should be insulated to prevent electrochemical corrosion. The suction pipe above the water surface must also be fixed.
7. During installation, prevent foreign objects from falling into the suction pipe to avoid blockage.
8. When the ejector is installed outside the tank and a self-priming arrangement is used, install the ejector above the tank water level to prevent wastewater from flowing out if the pump stops suddenly. For blower-pressurized systems, the blower air pipe should also be higher than the water surface. A bypass branch pipe and a self-priming bypass valve are recommended between the blower inlet valve and the suction port of the ejector.
9. For self-priming installation, the suction port is recommended to face downward or be positioned horizontally.
10. Arrange supports according to the specific piping layout and the applicable piping installation standards.
11. Ensure the operating water flow and oxygenation performance of the jet ejector. Gate valves should be used for the pump inlet and outlet valves and for valves installed on piping connected to the jet aeration system; butterfly valves are not recommended.
12. During pipe construction and welding, ensure full penetration and prevent weld beads, welding slag, or inclusions from falling into the ejector throat and piping, otherwise the ejector may not operate normally.
13. If the suction port is connected to oxygen, ozone, or other special process media piping, it must comply with the relevant piping installation specifications.
